Publication ethics & policies
We expect authors, reviewers and editors to uphold widely recognized publication-ethics principles, such as those described by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Referencing these guidelines does not imply COPE membership.
Authors
- Submit original work not under consideration elsewhere.
- Cite sources accurately; plagiarism and fabrication are not acceptable.
- Disclose funding and conflicts of interest.
- Disclose any use of AI tools in preparing the manuscript.
Reviewers
- Keep manuscripts confidential.
- Declare conflicts and give objective, constructive feedback.
Editors
- Decide on merit, independent of authors' identity or affiliation.
- Handle complaints, corrections and retractions promptly and transparently.
